- Cameras allow us to capture key moments in our lives, but I see Photography as an art form; experimenting with lens, distance, focus and perspective, it can not only capture but recreate the world around us. Visual forms of communication surround us and are a language accessible to all. We interpret with our own eyes and multiple interpretations of an image are part of my fascination with the medium. Photography has long been a personal interest; since seeing Steve Bloom’s renowned work, my passion is wildlife, from marine to local wildlife such as woodland creatures. I am graduate from University, studying Marine and Natural History Photography in Falmouth. Throughout my time here I have constantly developed my photographic skills and still strive to progress in this industry. As well as learning photographic and film practice, I also developed software skills so I can make the best photograph possible. I undertook the marine side of the course which enabled me access to the underwater world and experience something that isn't available to many people.
- In addition, I have taken my passion and developed the appropriate knowledge I need to be able to photograph and film it to the best of my ability, i.e. habitats, behaviours etc. Along with this, I have studied local weather, news and tidal patterns in order to chose a precise and best time to capture my images.
